Professional Career
Through her professional career Trudi has worked with places & environments designing and installing site specific work.
Working in the retail environment initially in Visual Merchandising and display. Trudi designed interiors, displays and shop windows targeted at a particular customer. She created fine tuned retail spaces for selling fashion and home merchandise. Liasing with architects, designers and developers and managing teams of artists on new store openings and refurbishments. Trudi researched Visual Merchandising trends and techniques globally to deliver Visual Merchandising training for retail giants; the Burton group, BHS and small specialist shops.
Moving to Site Specific Art in the public domain was a natural progression with her passion for art that belongs to a particular place. Working with specific commissioners, community groups, other artists, developers and landscape planners.
Trudi gained a distinction in her Master of Arts Degree, Design for the Environment, Public Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2003
She also gained her Cert Ed for teaching in 2006.
In January 2011 Trudi commenced her part time position as Sunday Gallery Manager at ArtSway in The New Forest. The Art Council's centre for Contemporary art in the South.
